About Us

Government Akhandanand Ayurveda College is a premier College of the state which is located in center of the city providing quality Ayurvedic Education and Healthcare. Akhandanand Ayurveda Hospital is associated with College of Ayurveda and provides platform for clinical training to the Undergraduate and Post Graduate students of the College. Hospital was established in 1965, inaugurated by Shri Moraraji bhai desai on 26th January, 1965

Government Akhandanand Ayurveda college is one of the oldest institute situate in the heart of heritage city Ahmedabad. This institute was establish with blessings of Bhikshu Akhandanand and has privilege to have holy touch with world famous Bhadrakali Mata temple. This institute have prestigious history to produce one of the greatest Vaidyas. Presently institute have under graduation and post-graduation teaching facility in which almost five hundred students studying from various part of Gujarat as well as  India. In the sector of health services we stood in tom most Government  Ayurveda hospital to provide free of cost Ayurveda health care services to the society. Our aim is  To become eminent institute of Ayurveda by pre-eminant Contributing in Health care services through Ayurveda for upliftment of human life.. My efforts will be always to set high standard benchmark at each and every level in Education, Resarch and health care services of Ayurveda.

COURSE DESIGN

ELIGIBILITY

12th Standard with Science or any other equivalent examination recognized by concerned State Governments and Education boards provided the candidate passes the examination with 50 % aggregate marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Minimum age for admission is 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission for the First BAMS course.

INTAKE CAPACITY

94 students per year is the intake capacity permitted by NCISM.

Post Graduate Study in our Institute

The institute offers post-graduation courses- M D / M S (Ayurveda) in 5 specialities. The duration of the course is three years

Eligibility

Students must have passed the degree course of B.A.M.S./Ayurvedacharya and should have completed their compulsory rotatory internship before the counselling and spot admission. He/She is Qualified for the Government Entrance Exam.
