The department of Kayachikitsa (General medicine) is a clinical department dealing with academic, research activity and hospital. This institute organises Post-Graduate Course in Kayachikitsa after graduation for Ayurvedic doctors. For clinical training of scholars, the department is having OPD facility in room no 09 and also beds are allotted in each floor of hospital.

This is the branch of Ayurveda related to general medicine. It deals with therapeutic approach to the disease either through Shamana (pacification) and Counselling. Diseases are treated here through medications, behavioural changes, psychological changes & and through life style management. A regular functioning of IPD and OPD of this department makes it feasible for the students to learn those skills properly with ample practical exposure.
