The Department is involved in teaching of undergraduate (UG) students in the field of Kriyasharira. Kriyasharira is the science which deals with the normal functions of human being from Ayurvedic perspective. In this subject, students get introduced the basic Ayurvedic concepts like Panchamahabhuta, Dosha, Dhatu, Mala, Prakruti, Atma, Mana, etc.

Kriyasharira is a basic and fundamental subject for First year undergradute students because without proper knowledge of Kriyasharira subject concepts one can’t understand the Ayurvedic pathological and pharmacological changes; and further Ayurvedic medicine.

Activities: 

• Conducting UG classes in the form of theory and practicals.
• Evaluation of students by periodic tests, models, theory and practical examination.
• Organizing the intra-departmental seminars.
• Publication and participation in national and international conferences.
• Books/Articles/poster publications.

Future plans:

• Establishing the new department with modified scientific laboratory.
• To start post graduate course in Kriyasharira.
