It teaches basic principles of ayurveda through six different subjects. In the first professional BAMS this department teaches three subjects Sanskrit, Padartha Vigyana & Ayurveda Itihas and Maulik Siddhant & Ashtanga Hridayam. As all the basic treatises of Ayurveda are in Sanskrit language, it takes care to train the students in Sanskrit language specially grammar to handle texts of ayurved easily.

In second professional BAMS this department teaches Charaka Samhita Purvardha by which it enhances deep thinking process among students for understanding pure Ayurveda through the writings of Charaka; the very authentic author in the field of Ayurveda. It teaches Charaka Samhita Uttarardha to third year professionals and make them aware of different ancient treatment principles to cure and prevent the diseases. It also takes care to train the final year students in the field of research and statistics to make them fully competent in current modern scientific era. In short Samhita siddhant department strengthens the students as back bone in the field of Ayurveda.
